Most of my Clients have tried several ways to lose weight and get healthy—sometimes dozens of different diets and plans.
They’ve been discouraged, to say the least. It’s understandable that you might think that nothing is going to work for you, that your excess weight and health problems are hopeless.
To tell you the truth, I’ve been there.
Take Shape For Life is different, because it’s about creating real health that lasts. And we do it with three key components.
First, Medifast Meals—the meal replacements we use for the weight-loss phase—are a safe, effective, and clinically proven way to lose weight.
Second, our Habits of Health system, created by Dr. Wayne Scott Andersen—Co-founder and Medical Director of Take Shape For Life and author of Dr. A’s Habits of Health—is a step-by-step method for replacing your unhealthy habits with healthy ones. I use it to improve my nutrition, my sleep, even my stress management.
The third unique thing is where I come in. One of the most important factors in whether or not someone can get healthy—and stay that way—is personal support. Actual scientific studies back me up on this.*
In my experience getting healthy with Take Shape For Life, I’ve made changes in my life that I didn’t think were possible. I’m just passing on what worked for me.
I am not a counselor or a doctor, and I can’t tell you what to do about your job, your marriage, or your relationships with friends and family.
But I can show you a way of eating, learning, and living that puts you on the path toward Optimal Health. Here’s what you can expect from me, in a nutshell:
Take a walk with me, and I can show you how Take Shape For Life succeeds where other weight-loss programs fail.

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) published a large weight-loss maintenance study of 1,032 overweight and obese adults in 2008. The study found that brief personal counseling and Web-based intervention strategies offer the best hope in keeping weight off over three years.
"The big discovery of this study is that losing weight and keeping it off is possible if you have ongoing, long-term support," said study second author Victor J. Stevens, Ph.D., a senior researcher at Kaiser Permanente's Center for Health Research.
"Everyone in this country—men, women, and children of every racial group—is getting heavier because our society promotes eating too much and not getting enough exercise,” Dr. Stevens says. “We all need a personal health coach."
Medifast makes no claim that these results are representative of all participants on the Medifast Program. Medifast recommends you consult with
a physician before starting a weight-loss program. Individual results will vary. Fullness Index is a satiety calculation based on a food.s fiber,
protein, and calorie content. The equation is: (grams of protein per serving + grams of fiber per serving) x 100, divided by number of calories
per serving. The higher the number, the more fullness is derived from each calorie. Medifast has been recommended by more than 20,000 doctors
